Scott Ford is proud to serve his community as Deputy Director of the Downtown Sacramento Partnership, a non-profit 501(6) property-based improvement district in the heart of California’s capital city.  

He has served previously as Economic Development Director where he lead key initiatives related to the Downtown Sacramento Realignment Strategy, and as the District Director of the Old Sacramento Waterfront where we worked closely with the 130+ locally owned small businesses to foster a highly collaborative environment and supported the development of strategic partnerships geared towards enhancing the guest experience and building value through principles of place-based economic development.  

Prior to these roles, Scott served as the Placemaking Manager with the Midtown Association where he was awarded the 2018 Outstanding Community Partner Award by the Midtown Neighborhood Association and helped establish Midtown Parks, a 501(c)3 foundation to support the vitality of urban green spaces.  

He completed the International Downtown Association’s Emerging Leader Fellowship program in 2022 and studied at California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.
