The Process

‍STRATEGY INTERVIEWS: Six individual or small group interviews to identify Market Forces and Governance Systems from each perspective.
SOCIABLE CITY SEMINAR: An interactive seminar, where we explore trends, best practices, and strategies through RHI’s signature framework, the ‘Building Blocks of a Sociable City Plan.’ We’ll use insights from interviews that define strengths, challenges, and opportunities to facilitate discussions within a small working group. Together, we’ll identify a shared vision for your city’s social economy.
SUMMARY REPORT: A recorded PowerPoint presentation with highlights from interviews and seminar discussions outlining priorities and proposed next steps.

Jim Peters, the founder and president of RHI, helms a non-profit organization that is marking its 40th anniversary since the first conference in Boston. Boasting 15 years in the hospitality and nightlife sectors, Peters has adeptly orchestrated the launch of restaurants and music venues. His advocacy work is global, reaching across six continents, with a focus on responsible beverage service and the innovative management of districts.

Peters has been a valuable contributor to federal advisory panels, has carried out crucial research on the efficacy of policies and training, and has presented at international conferences. His publications have graced major trade and policy journals. In his role as president of RHI, he directs program development for events and offers hands-on guidance for city assessments, impacting over 80 cities.
