Alby Bocanegra is Vice President of MasterCard’s Global Cities Partnership, City Possible, a unique position bringing important resources to the company’s city clients.
As a presenter at the Smart Cities conference in Bogota, Columbia, Alby moderated a session on culture in a 24/7 city. This connected him with leaders in the global movement of nighttime governance and management.
He brings a diverse background in music, technology, government and academia to his role. Through the 24/7 Global Cities Network, a forum for government and advocate leaders to share strategies, he adds to the knowledge base on economic development for MasterCard’s clients.
In addition to bringing the collective wisdom of participants, MasterCard brings important data on consumer buying trends and role of the culture and sociability in supporting a city’s economy.
Mr. Bocanegra is Vice President, Global City Partnerships. In his role, Alby leads Mastercard's partnerships with local governments and oversees the team responsible for the engagement of a global ecosystem comprising of over 330 cities, academics, NGO’s, industry experts and members of Civil Society from across the world under the City Possible framework.
