Arline Bronzaft is a researcher and writer on the adverse effects of noise on mental and physical health. Landmark research was conducted over forty years ago on the effects of elevated train noise on children's learning at a school near elevated train tracks in Upper Manhattan. Professor Bronzaft brought a logical solution that increased student performance. She is a member of the Board of GrowNYC.org, overseeing its noise activities and serving five New York City Mayors.
