Mark Klukow is a Lieutenant with the Minneapolis Police Department. He manages the personnel that serves downtown Minneapolis. Starting his career in 1995, Mark has worked most assignments in the urban police department. In the law enforcement field, Mark holds weighted proficiency in the areas of event safety, protest mitigation, and incident command. Most importantly, he brings firsthand insights on the evolution of the Minneapolis Police Department since the George Floyd demonstrations, city council “defund police” policy changes, and recent success in reducing gun violence in the entertainment district.
