This study specifically explores the benefits of the businesses and public infrastructure that support a literal 24-hour economy in London. The study assessed the number of jobs in the city's night-time economy by sector and the total number of night-time jobs created since 2004, in comparison with the rest of the United Kingdom. The impact of the city's recently launched Night Tube train service was also analyzed, concluding that the new service would create nearly 2,000 new jobs. The findings were predominantly calculated using data from the Labour Force Survey Data from Nomis, a labor statistical service provided by the country's Office for National Statistics.
